Safe use

The rules on the box.

Every Greenbox strip is a standard 15 A, 125 V power strip. These rules apply to it, and to any other strip with the same rating.

Warning

Five rules for a 15 A power strip

  • Keep the total under 15 A (1875 W). That is the rating of a standard 15 A strip like ours, and all of its outlets share it, however many there are.
  • Plug it straight into a wall outlet. Don’t connect it to another power strip or an extension cord.
  • Indoors and dry. Not for outdoor use. Near an aquarium or a sink, mount it above the splash line and give every cord a drip loop.
  • Don’t cover it. Keep it out from under rugs and bedding so heat can escape.
  • Replace it after a big hit. If the “Protected” light is off after a storm, the surge protection is used up.

Troubleshooting

Common questions.

The strip went dead. What happened?

Most likely the 15 A breaker tripped because the total load went over 1875 W. Unplug a device or two, then press the red master switch to reset. If it trips again with a light load, contact us.

One outlet doesn’t work.

Check the small switch next to it; each outlet has its own. If it is on and the outlet still has no power, contact us with your order number.

What does the green light mean?

The “Protected” light shows that surge protection is working. If it stays off while the strip has power, the protection has done its job and the strip should be replaced: write to us.

Can I return a strip?

Within Amazon’s return window, return it through Your Orders on Amazon.com. After that, our warranty applies.
